I just stopped by CafePress.com and picked up one of the coolest shirts to I have ever seen. I am definitely all about making a statement. “If you think you just got rid of me, I’m about to respawn and @*&(#@*(^ you.” So $20 bucks well spent, and since I didn’t get it from the local mall, all my friends are green with envy. If you aren’t a fan of black, they have all kinds of colors, cardinal would have been my second choice. Click the picture for a direct link, with details below.
“…high-quality, pre-shrunk 100% cotton t-shirt is what to wear when you want to go comfortably casual. Preshrunk, durable and guaranteed.”

I’m so glad GameStop is open late, I find myself here right before fourth meal at Taco Bell. I definitely feel really nostalgic when I come here, it is like I was just here yesterday checking out the new releases… Oh wait, I was here yesterday.
Anyways, I can remember camping out in the cold for the Wii some time ago, now the weather is better and I’m in a mood to get my game on. Speaking of the Wii, and new releases… Super Smash Bros: Brawl is out right about now (March 9, 2008 midnight), luckily I’ve been pre-ordered for about a week now. It has all the original Smash characters, but the twist comes in when they introduced Snake from Metal Gear Solid…
I cried tears of joy. I rarely find myself playing solo strategy games, I’m more of a social gamer (directs you to the forums). Hence, my current obsession with Super Smash Bros.
Heck, the first game I ever played was the original Sonic, back in like ’92, it came bundled with the Genesis system.

Platformer Legend Returns:
Dangerous Dave Goes Mobile
My RSS feeds were going crazy with updates about Dangerous Dave the 1988 platformer developed by John Romero . For those of you who aren’t familiar with Dangerous Dave or the haunted mansion, imagine this… Your brother gets lost in big scary house full of badies, what do you do? Well, you, Dangerous Dave pick up a shotgun and go nuts until your brother is safe. How’s that for a plot line. Anyway, instead of the Apple II or DOS that the game originally was made for, “WILDEC LLC and DEVOLER LLC in collaboration with Flat Rock Software” bring it to you on your PHONE!

We have come such a long way… from using an entire computer system to run platformers, now we can play games and make calls all at once in one device! The trend for platform games coming to our handhelds isn’t something out of the ordinary. It makes so much sense. Consider the basic movements, jumping, side scrolling, and some fighting action. These simple mechanics make platformers ideal to port to mobile devices. Jerry tells me Sonic is available for the iPod classic, I’m off to Google.
